Part of the learning experience at 6th Boro Hoops over the last three years was the realization that most players lack fundamental physical literacy and strength required to properly develop in basketball. In fact, many players cannot perfect fundamental basketball positioning and dribbling, for example, because their lack of mobility and strength doesn’t allow them to hold a strong and athletic position. In order to maximize what we teach on the court, we need our players to develop as well-rounded athletes first.
This has lead us to develop our own performance training development program specifically geared to the basketball athlete. Our quest to build the best program has lead us to partner with coach Rich Thaw from Empwr Fitness and Sports Training to provide our athletes with the best training possible.
On top of performance training, 6th Boro Hoops is providing athletes with nutrition guidelines and personal consultations in order to teach them how to maximize the work they put in the gym.
