6th Boro Hoops strongly believes in empowering youth basketball players through vigorous education both on and off the court. We strive to develop an elite basketball philosophy based on two different cultures: technical European basketball and pure American instinct and competitiveness.   

We are a youth basketball academy based in New York City focused on long-term development. With a specific teaching approach, we offer various basketball programs for players of all ages and levels. From technical trainings to national and international competitions, our players get to learn valuable life lessons while preparing themselves for the next steps in their careers.

Off the court, 6th Boro Hoops is proud to be an official partner of the Rising Stars Youth Foundation and offer children life-changing opportunities.

Part of the learning experience at 6th Boro Hoops over the last three years was the realization that most players lack fundamental physical literacy and strength required to properly develop in basketball. In fact, many players cannot perfect fundamental basketball positioning and dribbling, for example, because their lack of mobility and strength doesn’t allow them to hold a strong and athletic position. In order to maximize what we teach on the court, we need our players to develop as well-rounded athletes first.

This has lead us to develop our own performance training development program specifically geared to the basketball athlete. Our quest to build the best program has lead us to partner with coach Rich Thaw from Empwr Fitness and Sports Training to provide our athletes with the best training possible.

On top of performance training, 6th Boro Hoops is providing athletes with nutrition guidelines and personal consultations in order to teach them how to maximize the work they put in the gym.
